An all-time favorite at the KFC Yum! Center has become a semi-permanent presence at the University of Louisville home court or at least for the next three years.

Russ Smith, a member of the 2013 national championship team, has entered into a marketing agreement with the arena for the Mr. & Mrs. Bourbon brand that he introduced last year.  Some of the signage was already visible during The Ville games at the recent TBT tournament. The agreement was officially announced in a news release on Tuesday.

Mr. & Mrs. Bourbon will be featured prominently on the venue’s main concourse with exclusive tasting events, signature cocktails and a branded bar and other promotions.

The three-year partnership will commence with the opening of the Mr. & Mrs. Bourbon Co. bar on the KFC Yum Center’s main concourse in September. Fans will have the opportunity to experience the bourbon firsthand during any of the upcoming concerts and basketball games at the arena.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mr. & Mrs. Bourbon Company into the KFC Yum Center,” said Eric Granger, general manager of the KFC Yum Center, in the release. “Our bourbon partners are integral to our success, and this new addition enhances our ability to provide unique and memorable experiences for our guests.”

The special relationship between UofL basketball fans and Russ Smith just keeps getting better.
